Raymond van Barneveld

Raymond van Barneveld, nicknamed "Barney," is a Dutch darts legend with five World Championship titles—four in the BDO and one in the PDC. He made history in 2006 by hitting the first-ever nine-darter in Premier League Darts . A two-time UK Open champion and former Premier League winner, van Barneveld has been instrumental in popularizing darts in the Netherlands. After a brief retirement in 2019, he made a successful comeback in 2021, winning his first ranking title since 2013 at Players Championship 3 . As of 2024, he continues to compete at the highest level, securing a Pro Tour title and reaching the fourth round of the World Championship.
